Layyah: The Awami Development Organization (ADO), in collaboration with the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), IRM, PTCL, and Ufone, has provided training in e-selling and digital marketing to 100 skilled women in District Layyah under the Empowered Women programme.
According to the organizers, the initiative aims to help women market and sell their products online while creating better income-generating opportunities through digital platforms.
Participants received training in branding, product packaging, digital marketing, and e-commerce. The programme is designed to equip women with practical skills needed to expand their businesses and access a wider customer base through online marketplaces.
ADO officials said women completing the training will also be provided with Android smartphones and a one-year free internet package to help them continue their online business activities.
The organization stated that the project seeks to support rural women by providing them with direct access to consumers and modern digital tools. Organizers said the initiative is intended to strengthen women’s participation in economic activities and promote financial independence.
According to ADO, the Empowered Women programme focuses on creating opportunities for women to develop sustainable livelihoods through entrepreneurship and digital skills.
The organization expressed hope that similar initiatives could be expanded to other districts to provide more women with access to digital business opportunities and online markets.
