ISLAMABAD: The body of a woman was recovered from a forested area behind the Koral police station in Islamabad, with police saying she had sustained a gunshot wound to the head.
According to sources, the body was found on Tuesday night. Police took the body into custody and launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

Police officials said no identification documents were found on the woman at the scene, and her identity had not been established at the time of the initial investigation.
