A 45-year-old woman died after allegedly receiving an incorrect injection at a clinic in Karachi’s Bhains Colony area, police said.
The deceased was identified as Najma. According to initial information, she was a professional beggar who reportedly became dizzy and collapsed while asking for alms.
Local residents shifted her to a nearby clinic for immediate medical assistance. However, she could not survive and died.
Police initially classified the death as medical in nature and shifted the body to Jinnah Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The circumstances surrounding the alleged administration of the wrong injection were not detailed in the initial police account.
