MARDAN: The Directorate of Social Welfare and Special Education distributed winter uniform cheques and vocational training certificates to 430 special students at the Special Education Complex Mardan.

Commissioner Mardan Javed Marwat attended the ceremony as chief guest. He was received by District Officer Social Welfare Mardan Shoaib Khan and other officials.

During the event, cheques for winter uniforms were handed over to 430 students, while participants of the Vocational Training Center Development Program (VTCDP) were awarded certificates upon successful completion of their training.

Focus on welfare initiatives

Addressing the gathering, the District Officer Social Welfare highlighted the objectives of the programme and briefed attendees on government initiatives aimed at supporting persons with special needs.

Commissioner Javed Marwat visited classrooms and various departments of the complex, interacted with students and teachers, and appreciated the dedication of the teaching and administrative staff. He assured full support from the district administration to address issues faced by students and staff.

Parents and students participated in the ceremony, and special students presented performances showcasing their talents, which were warmly received by the audience.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Deputy Director Nazir Shah, who acknowledged the participation of the chief guest and other attendees.
