Famous Pakistani actress Meera faced a 10-year entry ban in the United Kingdom, and the reason behind it has now been uncovered.
According to documents, Meera was stopped by British immigration authorities due to a misunderstanding during an English language interview. Her mother revealed that at Heathrow Airport, an immigration officer asked Meera a question regarding “transit,” but she repeatedly referred to “transaction,” leading to confusion on both sides. Additionally, Meera was unable to correctly state her mother’s full name, further worsening the situation.
After Meera’s 10-year ban was lifted, her travel agent reapplied for a visit visa, but due to incorrect information being provided, the application was rejected. Meera confirmed that she has now hired a new lawyer to handle her visa appeal.
Meera’s mother has appealed to the British High Commission, urging them to grant her daughter a visa. She highlighted that Meera’s younger sister lives in Germany, while another sister is a lawyer in London, and their mother primarily resides in the UK. She further stated that Meera has several film projects scheduled to be shot in London, which can only be completed if she is allowed entry. Describing her as an internationally recognized actress working globally, she emphasized that the UK government should grant Meera a visa.
Despite being a Green Card holder and frequently traveling to the US, Meera is still unable to enter the UK. Her mother also mentioned that several international investors are interested in funding Meera’s films, but visa restrictions have caused these projects to stall.
Speaking about Meera’s popularity, her mother remarked that Meera is highly intelligent and knows how to stay in the media spotlight. She often makes controversial statements that go viral. She also praised her daughter as the family’s main provider, a kind-hearted person, and someone whom God has blessed immensely.
