WhatsApp has launched its first major and best feature of 2025 for users. Meta has announced the addition of colorful chat themes to WhatsApp.
This feature was already available on Meta’s other apps, Instagram and Facebook Messenger, and is now part of WhatsApp as well.
According to the company’s statement, the chat themes feature has been introduced for both iOS and Android users.
The statement read, “You asked for it, and that’s why we’re introducing chat themes—to make your chats unique with colorful chat bubbles and new wallpapers.”
Previously, WhatsApp allowed users to change chat backgrounds and offered light and dark modes, but the text bubble colors remained the same.
Now, users can change their chat bubble colors and customize both the background and bubbles with preset themes.
Additionally, 30 new wallpapers will be available, or users can select an image from their photo library for the background.
