Today the two big problems for the animate organism on the planet of earth are the waste and climatic variations. The rapport between climate change and wastage of the urban areas is a multifaceted and often overlooked issue in the recent days across the globe. The warmer and polluted environments of a day create many troubles for the life on this biosphere.
The polluted environment due to wastage of thickly populated cities of the world is a big challenge of the communities throughout the world and these are two interlinked problems. Actually, a man himself is responsible for deteriorating of its surroundings. Particularly the practices of waste management like landfills, contribute more significantly to greenhouse gas emissions, primarily a potent greenhouse gas with a global warming potential more than twenty-eight times higher than CO2 over a hundred-year time frame across the world. Moreover, the production, consumption, and disposal of goods result in substantial emissions throughout the entire supply chain, from extraction and manufacturing to transportation and waste disposal.
The extraction, processing, and transportation of raw materials required for production also generate considerable emissions. By adopting various sustainable management practices regarding wastes of urban as well as the rural areas of the world including our homeland Pakistan is trying to mitigate the various influences of wastes on the climatic change of the land ecosystem. In the developing countries like Pakistan the strong and effective waste management practices are very paramount importance to save and change the climate and waste into beneficial and bearable for the life of living organism including man. It is the prime duties of the stakeholders to adopt and implement the various strategies to control the hidden connection of waste and climate. The reduction of waste production, enhancement of recycling mechanism, preparation of compost from organic wastes and utilizing waste-to-energy technologies is essential for neat and clean environment. Due to the effective strategies by adopting the government not only control and manage the waste of any area of the country but it reduces the various types of emanations from different resources to conserve the environment and decreases the pollution of the surroundings for resulting to promote sustainable development. Therefore, recognizing the hidden connection between waste and climate change is crucial for developing targeted solutions to mitigate these impacts and create a more sustainable future. The hidden connection between waste and the worst impacts of climate change is only be addressed by adopting the various modern technology-based strategies of the advanced as well as the developing countries like Pakistan to overcome the dual problem of environment.
First of all, it must be reduced the production of waste. This means adopting circular economy practices, reusing and recycling materials, and avoiding single-use plastics. Secondly, it must be implemented sustainable waste management strategies that includes composting, anaerobic digestion, and landfill gas capture. Thirdly, it must be supported the policies and technologies that promote waste reduction and recycling. Finally, it is concluded that the connection between waste and climate change is clear. Now it must take action to reduce the waste generation, implement sustainable waste management strategies, and support policies and technologies that promote waste reduction and recycling. By working together, we can mitigate the worst impacts of climate change and create a more sustainable future for all. PAKISTAN PAINDA BAD
