Under the leadership of Hazrat Faqir, Chairman of the WAPDA Hydro Workers Union Timergara Circle, a protest was held at the WAPDA House in Timergara.While addressing the protest, Chairman Hazrat Faqir stated that an attempt had previously been made to demolish the mosque located at WAPDA House Peshawar. However, the central leaders of the WAPDA Hydro Workers Union had thwarted that attempt, though a part of the mosque was demolished. The current government had promised its immediate reconstruction.Yesterday, another attempt was made to demolish the mosque, but due to the timely protest by the central leadership, the administration’s efforts were foiled. However, later on, the central chairman of the WAPDA Hydro Workers Union, Gohar Taj, was arrested, and an FIR was also lodged against him, which is a grave injustice and unfairness.Chairman Hazrat Faqir of Timergara Circle demanded the immediate release of Central Chairman Gohar Taj and the reconstruction of the mosque. He warned that if their demands were not met, they would not hesitate to launch a full-scale protest on the call of their leaders.
