UPPER DIR: A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir Naveed Akbar regarding the preparation of agricultural census by Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
meeting was attended Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and Flying Umar bin Riaz, Statistical Officer of Pakistan Bureau of Statistics Waheedullah, District Coordinator Ehsanullah, District Officer Livestock Department Dr. Hassan Khan, representatives of Agriculture Department and other officers.
detailed briefing was given about the digital agricultural census.
According to the briefing, the census will be conducted from December to January 2025. During this period, enumerators and their supervisors will conduct door-to-door agricultural census.
To successfully complete this important task, enumerators and supervisors are being given special training from November 15 to 17.
Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir Naveed Akbar asked various questions during the meeting and assured full cooperation in the agricultural census process. He said that agricultural census is very important because it will provide an accurate estimate of the district’s agricultural production and resources, which will be helpful in future planning.
Deputy Commissioner Naveed Akbar also reviewed the working plan of Agricultural Census 2024 and the process of distributing tablets and devices.
