Upper Dir Police Intensify Security, Martyr’s Son Joins Force

UPPER DIR: District Police Officer (DPO) Upper Dir Aslam Nawaz, on the directions of Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Zulfiqar Hameed and Regional Police Officer Malakand Syed Fida Hassan Shah, handed over an appointment letter as Constable to Abrar Ahmed, son of Shaheed Constable Zahir Shah, under the Shuhada Package.

DPO Aslam Nawaz congratulated Abrar Ahmed on his appointment and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, saying their services and sacrifices for the protection of the people remain unforgettable.

He urged Abrar Ahmed to perform his duties with honesty, dedication and a spirit of service, while working for the protection of life and property, upholding the rule of law and maintaining the dignity of the police department.

Meanwhile, in view of the prevailing security situation, search and strike operations, snap checking and security checks are continuing across Upper Dir on the special instructions of DPO Aslam Nawaz (PSP).

Police, Pakistan Army, Elite Force, CTD, Dir Levies and other law enforcement agencies are jointly conducting operations in different areas. During these operations, suspicious persons and vehicles are being checked and sensitive locations are being closely monitored.

Security has also been further strengthened through blockades at several key locations, including Lowari Tunnel, Maina Khor, Qolandai, Panakot and Chakiatan.

DPO Aslam Nawaz said that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the foremost responsibility of the police. He appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious person or activity to the concerned police station or the Dir Upper Control Room at 0944880493.
