Due to shortage of natural gas citizens are using liquid gas cylinders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and most areas of the country but it is not safe why because the local venders transferrin that gas in low quality cylinder those often blasts and, as result dozens of valuable lives taken very year. It should be remember legally the transferring liquid gas in low material iron or plastic cylinder is a crime but in most of the cities the rules are not fallowing that is why these incidents are increasing every day because the masses do not fallowing the rules of regulations.
According to media reports two day back a gas cylinder explosion inside a house in the Tando Dag area of Swat claimed the lives of two young brothers and left another child severely injured.
As per reports, the tragic incident occurred when a gas cylinder exploded in a house in Tando Dag. The explosion resulted in the deaths of two young brothers, 12-year-old Samiullah and four-year-old Suleman, while another child, Tufail, sustained critical injuries.
Rescue officials reported that the incident took place within the jurisdiction of Rahimabad police station in Swat. The injured child has been shifted to Saidu Sharif Hospital for medical treatment
As we knows that is not a single incident, every year dozens of incident are reporting in country according to a report the Punjab Emergency Service Department showed a total 328 incidents of fire caused by leakage and explosion of the LPG cylinders during the last two years in the province. Lahore remained at the top by reporting 107 such incidents, followed by 35 in Faisalabad and 32 in Rawalpindi. As many as 17 citizens died in these incidents, 133 were hospitalized with multiple burns and 27 were given first aid
About Lahore, the report stated that two persons died of critical injuries while 48 were hospitalized. Similarly, Gujranwala reported 15 incidents while 11 each occurred in Multan and Sargodha. In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also every year these blast also take valuable lives, the year February Three members of a family died while four others were injured when a gas cylinder blast destroyed a house in Peshawar and in June at least 11 people were injured when a gas explosion caused part of a guest house roof to collapse in Peshawar’s University Town area. It is known all such kind of incidents are the results of not fallowing SOP’S of the oil and gas regulatory authority and other instructions of the local government of the country.
Now a days some people are using vehicles, tire tubes and plastic bags for storing the natural gas which is causing incidents also, according to the local survey conducted by the purview reporting team in Peshawar, the main market of ashraf road Peshawar these plastic bags are selling openly, in the presence of the local government officials but now action has been taken against such venders who are plying with the human lives.
There are penalties for such crimes in law according to that a person who violet these rules will be punished up to 14 years but it is still not following by relevant authorities because which that such indents are increasing. So it need strict actions to launch case against such illegal seller of the liquid gas suppliers and venders to save the citizens from these incidents in the country.
So it is the foremost duty of the oil and gas regulatory authority and commissioners of any district to monitor these illegal sellers of liquid gas who are big threats for the society. If the officials would not give attention to that big issue, then such kind of incident will happen again and again in the future.
