University of Swat Reviews Finances and Development Projects

SWAT: The University of Swat has reviewed administrative performance, financial management and the progress of ongoing development projects during a high-level meeting chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hassan ul Amin.

Registrar Dr. Arshad Ali Khan and Director Finance Mahboob ur Rahman briefed the vice chancellor on the performance, ongoing operations and challenges facing their respective departments.

During the meeting, Registrar Dr. Arshad Ali Khan outlined the university’s academic and administrative affairs, stating that faculty-related and administrative matters were being handled in accordance with applicable rules and regulations to ensure transparency and merit.

He also briefed the meeting on progress in implementing decisions made by the Syndicate, Academic Council and other statutory bodies.

The registrar highlighted ongoing efforts to digitalize student admissions, examinations and degree issuance, with the aim of improving service delivery and ensuring that students receive services on time.

Director Finance Mahboob ur Rahman presented a detailed overview of the university’s financial position, budget, income and expenditure. He said financial matters were being managed in line with the guidelines and standard operating procedures of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and the government.

He also explained the allocation and utilization of funds for development projects, salaries, pensions and student scholarships.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Hassan ul Amin appreciated the performance of both departments and called for further improvements in transparency, financial discipline and administrative efficiency.

He stressed the need to promote austerity and align administrative and financial practices with modern requirements. He added that the university’s progress depended on a strong administrative and financial framework, emphasizing that available resources should be utilized effectively to support student welfare and improve the quality of education.
