SWAT: The National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) under the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, in collaboration with the University of Swat, has launched a comprehensive one-month faculty training program, currently being held at the Main Campus in Charbagh.
Now in its second week, the training features Dr. Mehnaz Gul, an esteemed resource person, delivering an impactful session on “Professional Communication Skills for Faculty.”
The Honorable Vice Chancellor University of Swat Professor Dr Hassan Sher visited the training hall today to engage with the participants. He warmly welcomed Dr. Mehnaz Gul, commending her expertise and dedication.
In his address, the Vice Chancellor underscored the essential role of faculty development programs in enhancing the quality of higher education. He emphasized that such training not only equips faculty members with critical communication and pedagogical skills but also significantly contributes to the university’s commitment to academic excellence and professional growth.
Highlighting the dual benefits of the program, the Vice Chancellor elaborated on how faculty development directly enhances teaching standards and indirectly contributes to the broader objectives of the university. “Professional development is vital to empower our educators with advanced skills, fostering a culture of excellence and learning that benefits students and the institution alike,” he remarked. The Vice Chancellor expressed deep appreciation for NAHE, Higher Education Commission Islamabad. for extending this developmental opportunity to the university’s faculty, lauding their commitment to raising the standards of education across the country. He also acknowledged the hard work of the Training Coordinator, Dr. Hazrat Bilal, for his dedicated efforts in organizing the program, which has attracted the participation of 32 faculty members.
