SWAT: The University of Swat hosted a pivotal meeting today with representatives from its affiliated colleges to enhance collaboration and streamline academic policies. The meeting, held under the directives of the Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Hasan Sher, marked a significant step forward in fostering strong coordination between the university and its affiliated institutions.
The Regional Director of the Higher Education Department (HED), Prof. Inayatullah, along with principals and professors from various colleges, actively participated in the meeting. Senior officials from the University of Swat, including the Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Sciences, the Director of the Centre for Management and Commerce, the Controller of Examinations, and other key officers, were also present.
During the meeting, uniform semester regulations were finalized for both the university and its affiliated colleges, ensuring consistency and standardization across all academic programs. Additionally, the university announced the introduction of gold medals for college students, fulfilling a long-standing aspiration of the student community.
In a groundbreaking move towards enhancing transparency and quality in the examination process, the university unveiled plans to implement an external evaluation system for affiliated colleges as part of their BS programs. Under this system, the 40-60 evaluation formula will be adopted, ensuring fair and rigorous academic assessments.
“This initiative signifies a new era of collaboration and academic excellence,” remarked Prof. Dr. Hasan Sher. “The steps we are taking today will not only elevate the standards of education but also inspire students to achieve greater success.”
