United Panel Sweeps Video Journalists Forum Elections in Peshawar

PESHAWAR:  The United Panel achieved a clean sweep in the elections of the Video Journalists Forum, held at Peshawar Press Club. The elections were conducted under the supervision of Election Committee Chairman Shahid Ahmad. A total of 19 candidates contested for 10 different positions. For the post of President, United Panel candidate Bilal Ahmad secured a decisive victory by obtaining 73 votes, defeating his rival Nasir Ali Shah, who received 22 votes. Arslan Junaid was elected Vice President with 66 votes, while Malik Adil Zada managed 29 votes. In the contest for General Secretary, Nasir Naeem emerged victorious with 56 votes, whereas Aamir Ali Shah secured 39 votes. Kashan Arshad was elected Finance Secretary with 69 votes, while Tanveer Iqbal won the position of Joint Secretary by securing 75 votes. For the Executive Council, Rizwan Sheikh, Shakeel Siddiqui, Farhan Bashir, Asif Qadri, and Fazal Hussain were elected as members. Addressing the gathering after the results, newly elected President Bilal Ahmad thanked all members for participating in the electoral process. He reaffirmed his commitment to work for the welfare and rights of Video Journalists Forum members. He also expressed gratitude to the Peshawar Press Club cabinet for their cooperation in ensuring the smooth conduct of the democratic process.
