Search operation launched after attack on police mobile

Dera Ismail Khan (Syed Tauqeer Zaidi): A heavy exchange of fire took place between police and terrorists during a search operation in the Panyala area on Wednesday. The encounter resulted in the killing of two terrorists, while two others were injured.

Multiple forces participate in joint action

According to police sources, CTD, Al Buraq Force, Elite Force, and the District Police jointly launched a large-scale Search and Strike Operation following the recent attack on a police mobile in Panyala. The area was swiftly cordoned off, and security forces engaged armed suspects hiding in the vicinity.

Weapons recovered as suspects attempt escape

During the operation, the two terrorists were neutralized, and weapons were recovered from their possession. The injured terrorists managed to escape under the cover of darkness. Security forces have sealed the entire area and intensified the search to track down the fleeing suspects.

Authorities cite intelligence reports behind search operation

Police officials said that the operation was initiated after credible intelligence reports indicated the presence of armed militants in the area. Additional contingents have been deployed, and patrolling has been increased to ensure security.

Clearing process to continue until area is secured

A police spokesperson stated that the Search and Strike Operation will continue until the area is completely cleared of terrorist elements.
