Two die, three injured in Islamabad house cylinder explosion

ISLAMABAD, May 29: Two people were killed and three others injured after a gas cylinder exploded inside a house in Islamabad’s Sector I-10 on Thursday, rescue officials said.

According to rescue authorities, the explosion triggered a fire that left five people with burn injuries. All victims were shifted to a hospital for treatment, where two later succumbed to their injuries.

Officials said the blast was caused by a gas leak in a kitchen located on the first floor of the house. The explosion sparked a fire that spread through part of the building.

Fire brigade teams responded to the incident and brought the blaze under control. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
