Turkish Actress Ece Ertem Dies at 35, One Day After Birthday

Turkish actress Ece Ertem has died at the age of 35, one day after celebrating her birthday, according to Turkish media reports.

The news of her sudden death has saddened fans and members of Türkiye’s entertainment industry. Ertem was best known for playing the role of Eşil in the popular television drama One Love.

According to Turkish media, Ertem was found unconscious at her home on Monday afternoon. Reports said she was at home with her mother when she suffered a sudden medical emergency.

Her lawyer, Uğur Gök Koyun, said initial medical assessments suggested that she may have suffered a heart attack. However, an official investigation is under way, and the final cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem report.

The lawyer also denied social media claims that the actress had died by suicide.

Ertem had celebrated her 35th birthday a day before her death, making the news of her passing especially shocking for her fans.

Born on June 14, 1991, in Sivas, Türkiye, Ece Ertem graduated in 2014 from the Opera and Vocal Performance Department at Yaşar University. She later trained in acting at the Sadri Alışık Cultural Centre in Istanbul before entering the entertainment industry.

She gained wider recognition through her role in One Love, which helped establish her as one of Türkiye’s emerging television talents.

Following her death, fans and fellow artists shared messages of grief and condolence on social media.
