The historical drama, a joint production between Pakistan and Turkey, is centered on the life and conquests of the renowned Muslim leader Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi. The series first aired in Turkey last year and has recently been broadcast in Pakistan, where it has received widespread acclaim.
Airing on a private TV channel with Urdu dubbing, each episode has garnered over 2.5 million views on YouTube, with clips going viral on social media as well. Ugur Gunes plays the lead role, while Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Dr. Kashif Ansari, Ahmad Farooq Baqa Chek, and Dr. Junaid Ali Shah have invested heavily as producers in this ambitious project.
Recently, Ugur Gunes gave an interview to a Pakistani journalist who visited the drama’s set in Turkey. During the interview, Ugur expressed his admiration for his Pakistani fans and announced that, due to the enthusiastic response, he plans to visit Pakistan in three months. The actor mentioned that he is currently busy filming the second season of the series and has received numerous messages from Pakistani fans.
