The U.S President Donald trump yet again sensitized size fire between Palestine and Israel by threatened Hamas to release the Israeli hostages. The U.S President said in his yesterday statement that, if all the hostages held in Gaza are not returned by Saturday at noon, he would propose cancelling the Israel-Hamas ceasefire and letting “all hell break loose.”
While speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump also said he might withhold aid to Jordan and Egypt if they do not take Palestinian refugees being relocated from Gaza.
Another hand a senior Hamas leader replied to US President Donald Trump’s warning for the group to immediately release all Israeli hostages “further complicates matters” relating to the fragile Gaza truce.
He said Trump must remember that there is an agreement that must be respected by both parties and this is the only way to return the prisoners (hostages),” Sami Abu Zuhri told the news agency. “The language of threats has no value and further complicates matters,” actually the reply of Abu Zuhri technically and ethically sound because in any war ceasefire must fallow from both sides otherwise long lasting peace could not be possible. In such long wars it’s two way process, if one side violates the agreement then the agreement will not bear its results and the above statement might play like
a variable for destroying the entire peace process.
It should be remember that from week or so, the self-arrogant U.S president making such statement that could be ruin the hopes of ending the bloody Gaza war.in a situation like that it’s the responsibility of the regional countries like Egypt, Jordan and the most important Saudi Arabia to counter trump for such jargons and pressurized him for plying his role in long lasting peace making in the middle east.
According to the media Hamas on Monday announced it would stop releasing Israeli hostages until further notice over what the Palestinian group called Israeli violations of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, raising the risk of reigniting the conflict.
Hamas said it made its announcement five days before Saturday’s scheduled hostage release so mediators could pressure Israel to uphold its ceasefire obligations and “keep the door open for the exchange to take place on time.”
Hamas military wing spokesperson Abu Ubaida said Israeli ceasefire violations included delaying Palestinians from returning to northern Gaza, shelling and firing upon Palestinians, and stopping humanitarian aid from entering the strip as stipulated under the ceasefire.
Hamas officials said Israel had blocked the entry of 60,000 mobile houses, 200,000 tents, as well as heavy machinery to remove rubble and fuel.
Another hand Egypt rejected on Monday “any compromise” that would infringe on Palestinians’ rights, in a statement issued after Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with his US counterpart in Washington.
“Egypt maintains its position rejecting any compromise of these rights, including the right to self-determination, remaining on the land and independence,” said the Egyptian foreign ministry, after US President Donald Trump had suggested removing Palestinians from the war-battered Gaza Strip.
While Syria’s new president, Ahmed al-Sharaa, said in remarks broadcast on Monday he believes US President Donald Trump’s plan to resettle Palestinians from Gaza and take over the Strip “is a serious crime that will ultimately fail”.
Trump had said the US would take over the war-ravaged Gaza Strip and develop it economically after Palestinians are resettled elsewhere. He said Palestinians would not have the right of return to Gaza under his proposal.
The above argument proves that all the regional counties are not happy form Donald trump’s statements so now U.S administration should stop their president to give such irresponsible views because these could sabotage the whole peace process in the region.
