ISLAMABAD: The Nazriya Pakistan Council (NPC) organized a Dua and Fateha Khawani at Faisal Masjid as a Tribute to Pakistan’s Founder, honoring Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Held after Friday prayers, the event brought together NPC Chairman Mian Muhammad Javed, diplomats, dignitaries, and a large gathering of devotees.
Also in attendance were NPC Executive Secretary Gauhar Zahid Malik and family members of the late Zahid Malik, including Omer Malik, MD of Observer TV. Additionally, Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Irfan Memon, officials from ICT, police, CDA, and civil society representatives joined the ceremony.
Attendees offered prayers for Quaid-e-Azam’s soul and paid heartfelt tributes to the Father of the Nation. They acclaimed him as a visionary leader whose guidance helped subcontinent Muslims secure their homeland.
The Khateeb of Faisal Masjid led the prayers and highlighted Quaid-e-Azam’s accomplishments. Furthermore, he stressed the founder’s contributions to Pakistan and the Ummah. He described freedom as a divine gift. He added that nations value it most after experiencing occupation or liberation struggles.
The Khateeb urged the congregation to remember Quaid-e-Azam in their prayers. He also highlighted that Quaid-e-Azam’s efforts enabled Pakistanis to live peaceful and autonomous lives. Moreover, he expressed concern over Muslims facing oppression in Gaza, Palestine, and Indian Illegally Occupied Kashmir (IIOK). He prayed for their freedom.
Mian Muhammad Javed spoke to private media. Mian Muhammad Javed highlighted Quaid-e-Azam’s remarkable attributes. Quoting Allama Shabbir Ahmed Usmani, he said, “I have found Quaid-e-Azam a true and trustworthy man.” He further emphasized that Quaid granted independence. Pakistanis must safeguard it as a cherished legacy.
Javed also appealed to the youth to pray not only for Quaid-e-Azam but also for his associates and followers of the Pakistan Movement. In this way, the memory and sacrifices of the nation’s founders can inspire future generations. Finally, he urged everyone to uphold the values and vision of the Father of the Nation, marking the day as a true Tribute to Pakistan’s Founder.
