Traffic Awareness Session promotes road safety at PMAS-AAUR

A comprehensive Traffic Awareness Session was organized at Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi (PMAS-AAUR) to promote awareness among students, faculty, and staff about traffic rules, road safety, and responsible driving practices. The event was graced by City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi, Syed Khalid Hamdani and Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi, Mr. Farhan Aslam who delivered engaging lectures on traffic discipline, the importance of obeying road safety laws, and the collective role of youth in creating a safe and civilized traffic culture. Both officers highlighted how adherence to traffic rules can save lives and reduce accidents.

On-campus driving license facility for students

To facilitate participants, a driving license facility was also set up within the university premises during the traffic awareness session, allowing students and staff to apply for or renew their licenses conveniently.

Interactive quiz reinforces responsible driving habits

As part of the interactive learning experience, a short quiz competition on traffic rules was held during the traffic awareness session. Students who provided correct answers received safety helmets as prizes, underscoring the importance of wearing protective gear while riding motorcycles.

Rawalpindi Police commended for traffic education efforts

The university administration appreciated the valuable efforts and cooperation of the Rawalpindi Police, expressing gratitude to CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani and CTO Mr. Farhan Aslam for their active participation and continued support in educating the youth on traffic safety and law enforcement.
