Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has revealed that Tom Holland and Zendaya plan to take an extended break from acting and promotional work following the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Speaking in an interview with Variety, Feige said both actors have earned time off after an intensive filming and global promotional schedule. He added that while future projects are in development, the immediate focus is on giving the stars a well-deserved opportunity to rest.
Busy Schedule Before the Break
Holland and Zendaya have spent the past several months promoting Spider-Man: Brand New Day as well as Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film The Odyssey, in which they also appear together.
Their packed schedule has included international promotional events, media appearances, and film-related commitments.
Longtime Members of the Spider-Man Franchise
Tom Holland and Zendaya first joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017. Since then, they have reprised their roles in multiple Spider-Man films alongside Jacob Batalon, who also returns to the franchise.
What Is ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ About?
The new film is set several years after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home. The story follows Peter Parker as he faces a new threat in New York City while continuing life in a world where his closest friends no longer remember his identity.
Marvel Studios has not announced when Holland or Zendaya are expected to return to work after their planned break.
