Hollywood actor Tom Holland has revealed how he keeps the magic of Spider-Man alive when young fans ask him to shoot webs from his hands like the Marvel superhero.

Holland, who plays Peter Parker in the Spider-Man film series, said many children believe he has the same abilities as his on-screen character. Their most common request is for him to demonstrate Spider-Man’s web-shooting powers.

Speaking in an interview with InStyle, the actor explained that he avoids disappointing young fans by giving them a playful excuse rather than telling them the superhero powers are not real.

Holland said he tells them that he used all his webs while travelling to meet them and now needs to return to the workshop to collect more.

The light-hearted response allows children to continue believing in the character while creating a memorable encounter with the actor.

Holland said one of the most rewarding aspects of playing Spider-Man is seeing the excitement and happiness the character brings to children.

The British actor first appeared as Peter Parker in Captain America: Civil War in 2016 before leading three Spider-Man films within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Set for July Release

Holland will return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on July 31, 2026. Marvel has officially confirmed Holland in the lead role, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing the film.

The cast also includes Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink and Jon Bernthal. The new film will continue Peter Parker’s story after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Hom
