To maintain peace and order during Muharram, scholars, Shia organizers, civil society and people of all schools of thought have to work together on a platform. DPO Haripur, DPO Haripur and Deputy Commissioner Haripur held a meeting with scholars of different sects and organizers of processions and gatherings for the peaceful conduct of Muharram. In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held on the arrangements made by the district administration and police regarding the security of Muharram processions and gatherings. Scholars and Shia organizers informed the officers about the problems faced. DPO Haripur, while addressing the participants of the meetings, said that the holy month of Muharram teaches us a lesson of sacrifice and tolerance. Avoid provocative speeches that There is a fear of sectarian riots or freedom of speech of any sect. The SOPs issued on the use of loudspeakers should be strictly implemented. Shia organizers should ensure adherence to the route and time. The respected scholars and Shia organizers assured cooperation with the Haripur Police and the district administration to maintain peace and order during the processions and gatherings of Muharram-ul-Haram.
