Relief packages distributed among 237 students in Timergara ceremony

Timergara — Relief packages worth Rs703,000 were distributed among 237 poor, needy and orphan students during a ceremony held in Tehsil Rabat under the supervision of Tanzeem-e-Asatiza. The initiative covered students from 50 public and private educational institutions across Tehsil Khaal and Tehsil Balambat.

The distribution aimed to support students’ educational needs while enabling them to take part in Eid celebrations. The packages included cash Eid gifts, clothing, school bags and notebooks.

Support for education and Eid needs

Organisers said the initiative was designed to ease financial pressure on families and help students continue their education without disruption. The inclusion of Eid-related support was intended to ensure that deserving students could share in the festive occasion.

The ceremony was attended by a large number of teachers and local figures. Rehmani Mulk, former president of Tanzeem-e-Asatiza District Lower Dir, was the chief guest, while Bakht Rawan, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Haya Sairai, and other community members were also present.

Commitment to welfare initiatives

Speaking at the event, Muslim Khan, President of Tanzeem-e-Asatiza Tehsil Rabat and Supervisor of the Student Welfare Section, said the organisation arranges similar welfare activities annually for underprivileged students.

He noted that such programmes provide educational materials, clothing and financial assistance to help students overcome barriers to learning. He also expressed the organisation’s intention to expand the scope of these initiatives in the coming years to reach more beneficiaries.

Community response

Muslim Khan thanked donors and philanthropists for their contributions, which made the programme possible. At the end of the ceremony, students and teachers appreciated the initiative, describing it as a positive step towards supporting education and social welfare in the area.
