RAWALPINDI: Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of a TikToker in Rawalpindi, a case that investigators say was linked to an ongoing dispute involving TikTok videos and family disagreements.
The incident took place in the Lal Kurti area within the jurisdiction of Civil Lines Police Station, where TikToker Ali Raza was shot and later died from his injuries. Another man, identified as Murad, was injured in the attack. Police said the main suspect is also a TikToker.
Police Say Dispute Escalated Into Shooting
According to police, the case was registered on the complaint of Abdullah Khan, the victim’s brother-in-law.
The FIR states that Ali Raza, his wife, daughter and Murad were travelling on motorcycles when they were allegedly stopped by the suspects. Investigators said the attackers allegedly confronted Ali Raza over videos posted on TikTok before opening fire.
Ali Raza later succumbed to his injuries, while Murad sustained gunshot wounds.
Family Dispute Also Under Investigation
Police said preliminary investigations suggest the two sides, who are relatives, had an ongoing dispute involving TikTok content as well as family matters, including a relationship and engagement issue.
Officials added that a local jirga had previously attempted to resolve the conflict, but tensions reportedly continued.
