Three people, including two women, were shot dead in an alleged honour killing in Charsadda district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, police said.
The incident took place in Mughal Khel area of Matta tehsil, where the victims were allegedly targeted over suspicions of a relationship. Police said the dead included two women and one man.
A heavy police contingent reached the scene after receiving information about the killings. The bodies were taken into custody and shifted for legal formalities as investigators began collecting evidence.
Police said two suspects who had fled after the incident were later arrested during raids. Further investigation is under way to determine the full circumstances of the case.
