The sixth National Cadet Junior Karate Championship held in Abbottabad

The sixth National Cadet Junior Karate Championship held in Abbottabad ended with the victory of Pakistan Army in both the men’s and women’s competitions. In the men’s junior competitions, Pakistan WAPDA won second and Sindh third positions, while in the junior cadet women’s competitions, the Sindh team came second and Balochistan team came third. The remaining junior category competitions were held on the third day of the Junior Cadet Championship held at Postgraduate College No. 1 in Abbottabad. In the men’s under 55 kg weight category, Mir Waiz Khan of Pakistan WAPDA won gold, while Dawood Sohail of Punjab won silver.

Syed Bariz Irfan of Sindh and Aman Khan of Balochistan jointly won bronze medals. Similarly, in the under 68 kg weight category, the field was also in the hands of Pakistan WAPDA. Mir Hamza Kasi of WAPDA won gold for his team in this category, Ayan Sohail of Punjab won silver, Briyal Khan of Balochistan and Sindh’s Obaid Ahmed was able to jointly win bronze medals, while Punjab’s Hasnain Yousaf and Sindh’s Bilawal Ali Chandio won gold medals for their respective teams in the 52 kg category the previous day. Similarly, two more categories were decided on the third day in the women’s junior cadet competitions, in which the Pakistan Army team completely dominated these competitions. Pakistan Army’s Hania Naqeeb won the gold medal in the 53 kg weight category, while Islamabad’s Ayesha Khan won the silver, Balochistan’s Bara and Sindh’s Fariha Ghufran were the leaders in winning bronze medals. In the 66 kg weight category, the field was also in the hands of Pakistan Army’s Saira Batool, who did not disappoint her team and won the gold medal. Punjab’s Nazish Nadeem was able to win the silver medal in this category. Sindh’s Ayesha Kashif and Balochistan’s Amana Wali were successful.

Overall, in the men’s junior cadet competitions, Pakistan Army came first with three gold and one bronze medals, Pakistan WAPDA came second with two gold, two silver and one bronze medals, Sindh came third with two gold and five bronze medals, Punjab came third with one gold, three silver and one bronze medals, Balochistan came fourth with one silver and six bronze medals, KPK came fourth with one silver and one bronze medals, while Islamabad also came fourth with one silver and one bronze medal. Similarly, in the women’s junior cadet competitions, the Pakistan Army team won a total of three gold and one bronze medals and was declared the champion of the women’s competitions. Sindh came second in the women’s competitions and was successful in winning one gold and two bronze medals. Balochistan came third in the women’s competitions with one silver and three bronze medals.

Punjab came fourth with one silver and one bronze medal. Thus, this Junior Cadet Karate Championship ended with the victory of the Pakistani Army team.
