The people of Khewra are deprived of clean drinking water even in this modern age. In Depo Bazaar and Pracha Mohalla, the water being supplied for drinking is foul-smelling. A total of 220 million rupees were spent on this water supply system, which was laid from Pind Dadan Khan Bela to Khewra city. The water from this supply is stored in a centuries-old pond located at the Khewra Salt Mine.
