The Mummy Sequel Begins Filming, Release Date Set for October 2027

HOLLYWOOD: Fans of The Mummy franchise may not have to wait much longer for its return to the big screen, with filming for the upcoming sequel reportedly getting underway.

Former franchise star Brendan Fraser has confirmed significant progress on the new project, revealing in an interview with a French television channel that filming for the new The Mummy movie is set to begin soon.

Fraser did not disclose details about the plot or other aspects of the project, but the update has generated excitement among fans of the action-adventure franchise.

Several actors associated with the earlier The Mummy films are also reportedly expected to return. Among them is Kevin J. O’Connor, who played the memorable thief Beni Gabor in the franchise.

The new The Mummy film is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 15, 2027.

Fraser’s potential return, along with the possibility of familiar faces appearing in the sequel, has raised expectations for the franchise’s next chapter.
