The High Commissioner of Bangladesh, H.E. Muhammad Iqbal Hussain Khan, called on Chairman CDA, Chief Commissioner of Islamabad and DG, Civil Defense, Muhammad Ali Randhawa at the CDA Headquarters. Member Estate, Member Finance and other senior CDA officers were also present on this occasion. The meeting discussed various matters of mutual interest including measures related to the beautification and development of Islamabad. H.E. High Commissioner of Bangladesh appreciated excellent efforts of CDA under the chairmanship of Muhammad Ali Randhawa for the beautification and development of Islamabad and proposed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a sister-city relationship between Islamabad and Dhaka to strengthen people-to-people ties between the two countries.

Muhammad Iqbal Hussain Khan High Commissioner of Bangladesh and assured him of their full support regarding the MoU for the sister-city relationship between Islamabad and Dhaka. Chairman CDA said that Pakistan holds its fraternal country, Bangladesh in high esteem and respect. He emphasized the need to explore further areas of mutual cooperation.
On this occasion, Chairman CDA informed H.E. Muhammad Iqbal Hussain Khan, High Commissioner of Bangladesh that the CDA is not only making proper planning for the uplift and beautification of the Diplomatic Enclave but will also soon commence renovation and landscaping work. He mentioned that renowned landscaping experts are being engaged to upgrade the Diplomatic Enclave in line with international standards, further enhancing its development and beautification. H.E. Muhammad Iqbal Hussain Khan appreciated CDA’s step towards uplifting Diplomatic Enclave. At the end of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to promoting bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
