In the provincial capital Peshawar, operations are conducted every day to eliminate encroachments but despite this, they are increasing day by day. The encroaching shopkeepers have also started taking stay order against the administration due to which the parties Fights between them have become a daily routine.
Residents of the city are enraged by the encroachment of shopkeepers in the busiest markets in Peshawar. Due to which the residents of the area as well as the pedestrians are facing difficulties. On public complaints the representatives of the local bodies have appealed to the district administration to fix the attitude of these shopkeepers in order to end the encroachments. Stalls are being set up 6 feet outside the shops, making it difficult for women to pass through the Karim Pura market.
Due to encroachment, the grandeur of the bazaar has dimmed. The residents of the area are facing problems due to encroachment in Chowk Shadi Pir, Hashtangari Bazar, Gulshan Bazar and all these markets.
It was said on behalf of local body representatives that the district administration should take strict legal action against such shopkeepers who are encroaching on their shop. It may be recalled that the anti-encroachment operation was also conducted yesterday, in which there was a fight between the officials of the administration and the railway gate became a battle ground, due to the dispute between the fish sellers and the officials of the metropolitan administration the traffic was jammed for an hour due to that citizens and residents had to face severe problems.
According to eyewitnesses as soon as the officials of the district administration arrived to operate in the fish market, the fish sellers attacked the officials due to which five officials were seriously injured and fish worth thousands of rupees were thrown into the dirty drain by the officials. On the other hand, during another operation the encroachment mafia of the plastic market also attacked the officials, on which the administration has arrested many people while taking action. Then the fish sellers have taken a stand on the operation against encroachment and accused that they are giving free fish of Rs 1000 to every official but it is a fact that the Citizens are facing problems due to the market. According to the administration the operation against encroachments will be continued due to the security situation in various markets because the educational institutions and citizens are feeling theaters form that market and police offices also declared it the most dangerous. According to the citizens any major incident can happen in this riotous rush.
The district administration has also taken a stand regarding this situation that the series of grand operation will be continued without discrimination, which was implemented in the provincial capital yesterday as well. While conducting an operation against encroachment in different areas of Town One, the administration demolished dozens of encroached footpaths under the supervision of Chief Demolition Inspector Hazrat Abbas, on the instructions of the senior officers.
The administration conducted an operation in the areas of Zaryab Colony, Sabzani Mandi, Dalzak Road, Shaheen Muslim Town and Haji Camp Adda in the densely populated areas of Peshawar and removed dozens of encroachments and encroachments. Speaking on that the chief demolition Inspector Hazrat Abbas said that the operation against encroachments will be continued in the city under the direction of the Deputy Commissioner and heavy fines were also imposed on them, including the establishment of cases against the encroachers. Therefore, the encroachers should remove the encroachments by themselves. After knowing the position of both sides, it has come to light that there is collusion between the administration and the encroachment mafia because operations are conducted in the same markets every month, but despite of this the encroachments are not over yet. So there is need of a grand operation in the capital in the style of the first term of the Tehreek-e-Insaf government.
