It is an Indisputable fact that we living in male dominated society, where it is nearly impossible for a women that she could recognized herself as mainstream leadership of the country but we have some examples of struggles those inspired the whole nation especially female population-for them late prime minster of Pakistan Benazir Bhutto is a role model
She was the first lady of Islamic republic of Pakistan who become a prime minster. She was actually the real iron lady of the world she suffered a lot in her political career, she not only face the extra judicial assassination of her father ZA, Bhutto but also bury her brother’s body and bear the death her beloved mother Begum Nusrat Bhutto, for the goodwill of the country.
It was her bravery that she was told before coming back to Pakistan that her life in not secured in the country and the terrorists are also after her, but she bravely come to Pakistan but that decision was not right for her and her party ,that is now a bloody chapter in history of our political history. The former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto was killed in a gun and bomb attack, on December 27, 2007. It has been 17 years since the tragic assassination of Benazir Bhutto, Pakistan’s first female prime minister, yet the complete truth surrounding her death remains shrouded in mystery, her tragic death was not only a big lost for Pakistan people’s party but also setback for the democracy of the country. Yester her 17th death adversary was observed in all other the county with great grief and faith by the JIYALAS of (workers) Pakistan people party.
Despite the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) returning to power on three separate occasions during this period, the party has been unable to provide the public with any definitive answers about the circumstances of her assassination. According to the reports Benazir was killed on the evening of December 27, 2007, after addressing a rally at Liaquat Bagh in Rawalpindi. As she departed the venue, gunshots were followed by a powerful explosion, claiming her life and leaving the nation in shock.
Several individuals and groups have been accused over the years, including al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, former president General Pervez Musharraf, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) founder Saifullah Mehsud, and police officers Saud Aziz and Khurram Shehzad.
While the Rawalpindi anti-terrorism court sentenced the two police officers to 17 years in prison for negligence and tampering with evidence, five other suspects were acquitted in 2017 after over 300 hearings. Investigations by Scotland Yard and a UN commission also pointed fingers at certain military officials, but the PPP government rejected the UN report through its own inquiry committee.
According to a published in the renowned newspaper the Key suspects Baitullah Mehsud and Osama bin Laden were later killed in drone strikes and military operations, while no evidence was found to implicate Musharraf.
The case is effectively closed now, with appeals against the police officers’ convictions still pending. Some insiders claim that concrete evidence regarding the real culprits was never presented in court. Meanwhile, TTP leader Noor Wali Mehsud acknowledged in his book that the group was behind Benazir’s assassination. However, he provided no details on who ordered the killing or the broader conspiracy. The questions surrounding Benazir Bhutto’s murder linger, leaving a painful void in Pakistan’s pursuit of justice and accountability.
Despite of all those facts that our judicial system is still failing to gives speedy justice in such high profiles case that is still need a real trail to bring the justice before the nation, as the famous case of Benazir’s father Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in which the Supreme court of Pakistan admits that it was the violation of basic fundament rights. So it’s the need of the time to reform the judicial justice system of Pakistan that gems, like Benazir, could not be wasted in future.
