The 6th Meeting of the Syndicate, University of Shangla was held on July 13, 2025 at the Committee Room, Islamia College University Peshawar., under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Sardar Khan (TI), Vice Chancellor, University of Shangla.The meeting of syndicate was attended by Ali Qadar Special Secretary Establishment,Javed Iqbal Additional Secretary HED, Arshad Ali Additional Secretary Finance,Samin Durani Director Budget/Finance HEC, Justice (Rtd) Jamal Ud Din Nominee of PHC,Said Ul Abrar Chancellor Nominee, Dr. Faiz Ur Rahman (Director Planning & Development), Dr. Ashfaq Ahmad (Treasurer), and Dr. Fazal Qudus Khan (Registrar). The syndicate meeting started with recitation of Holy Quran. After a brief introduction, the chair welcomed all the participants and asked the Registrar to present the agenda. During the session, various key agenda items were discussed.
The recommendations of the academic council including academic expansion at graduate and undergrade levels, adoption of HEC policies, faculties establishment and diplomas/certificates level courses were approved. The members appreciated the proposal of launching market-oriented subjects in the University of Shangla.The recommendations of F&PC particularly budget, fee structure, creation of positions for both faculty and non-faculty were discussed and recommended for senate approval. The nonpayment of employees’ salaries and service structure were discussed in detail and its way out was also sorted out.
The Vice Chancellor expressed his sincere appreciation to all members for their constructive input and active participation in the decision-making process. The meeting concluded with a mutual vote of thanks, acknowledging the collaborative spirit of the participants.
