RAWALPINDI: A terrorist attack in North Waziristan was foiled on December 19 after security forces successfully repelled an attempted assault on a security forces camp in the Boya area, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Thursday. Four soldiers embraced martyrdom during the exchange, while all attackers were killed.
Terrorist Attack in North Waziristan Targeted Security Camp
According to ISPR, Khwarij terrorists belonging to Indian proxy Fitna al Khwarij attempted to breach the perimeter of a security forces camp in the general area of Boya, North Waziristan district. Alert troops detected the movement and responded swiftly, preventing the attackers from entering the camp.
Explosion Damages Civilian Infrastructure, Civilians Injured
In a desperate attempt to penetrate security, the attackers rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the outer perimeter wall, causing its collapse. The blast damaged nearby civilian infrastructure, including a mosque, and resulted in injuries to 15 civilians, including women and children, ISPR said.

All Attackers Neutralised During Fire Exchange
Security forces engaged the intruders with precision and professionalism, resulting in the killing of all four terrorists involved in the terrorist attack in North Waziristan, the military’s media wing confirmed.

Four Soldiers Embrace Shahadat
During the intense exchange of fire, four soldiers fought gallantly and embraced martyrdom. The martyrs were identified as Havildar Muhammad Waqas (42) of Kotli, Naik Khanwaiz (38) of Mansehra, Sepoy Sufyan Haider (25) of Vehari, and Sepoy Riffat (32) of Layyah.
ISPR paid tribute to the soldiers’ courage and sacrifice, stating that their actions reflect the highest traditions of bravery, selflessness, and professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Pakistan Calls on Afghan Interim Government to Act
ISPR said the terrorist attack in North Waziristan was planned and orchestrated by Afghanistan-based terrorists, contradicting claims by the Afghan Taliban authorities regarding the non-presence of such groups operating from their soil.
Pakistan expects the interim Afghan government to fulfil its obligations and deny the use of its territory for terrorist activities against Pakistan, the statement said.
Armed Forces Reaffirm Resolve Against Terrorism
The military reiterated that Pakistan reserves the right to take all necessary measures to hunt down terrorists, their facilitators, and affiliates to ensure the safety and security of its people.
