Terrorist Attack in Shangla’s Martung Leaves Two Injured

A devastating terrorist attack occurred in the remote Martung area of Shangla district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where militants targeted the home of District Security Branch (DSB) personnel Jan Khan. The attack, which took place on Wednesday night, left Khan and his uncle, Mubashir Shah, seriously injured.

According to reports, terrorists launched a sudden assault on Khan’s residence, sparking a fierce exchange of fire. The injured individuals were promptly rushed to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Puran and later transferred to Saidu Sharif Hospital in Swat for further medical treatment.
Following the incident, local police cordoned off the area and initiated a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators. Senior police officials visited the site to oversee the ongoing operation and ensure that no stone is left unturned in bringing the culprits to justice. This attack raises concerns about the security situation in Shangla, particularly in remote areas where police check posts have been vulnerable to terrorist attacks.
