RAWALPINDI, Feb 26, 2026: Security forces killed 10 militants during a sanitisation operation in Zhob district of Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Wednesday, describing the action as a continuation of an earlier intelligence-based operation in the area.
According to the military’s media wing, the operation followed an intelligence-based raid conducted on February 24 in which eight militants were killed. The latest action took place on February 25, when security forces carried out a comprehensive search to track down additional suspected militants in the district.

ISPR stated that troops engaged the suspects at multiple locations during the operation. Following an exchange of fire, 10 militants were killed. Weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from the site, the statement added.

The military described the militants as being involved in attacks in the region and said they were linked to a banned outfit operating in Balochistan.
Security forces are continuing sanitisation operations in the area to locate and apprehend any remaining suspects, ISPR said. The statement added that counterterrorism efforts under the framework of the National Action Plan would continue in coordination with law enforcement agencies.
