Islamabad: Ten Frontier Constabulary (FC) personnel embraced martyrdom and three were injured in a terrorist attack on the Zam FC check post in Drazinda, Dera Ismail Khan. Terrorists from Fitna Al Khawarij launched a heavy-armed assault under cover of darkness.
According to the Spokesperson Ministry of Interior, FC personnel bravely repelled the attack, resulting in the martyrdom of 10 soldiers and injuring three. The martyred personnel included: Naib Subedar Muhammad Jan, Naik Arif, Lance Naik Saeed ur Rehman, Sepoy Akhunzada, Sepoy Hazratullah, Sepoy Mushtaq, Sepoy Abdul Samad, Sepoy Imran Khan, Sepoy Basirullah, Sepoy Mehtab.
Six martyred personnel belonged to South Waziristan, while four hailed from Karak District. Injured personnel, Naik Hamza, Sepoy Hassan and Sepoy Sabir Ayub were transferred to CMH Hospital Dera Ismail Khan for treatment.
The Ministry of Interior spokesperson paid tribute to the FC martyrs, stating, “Their supreme sacrifices strengthen our unwavering resolve to eradicate terrorism and establish peace.”
