Islamabad: Teach For Pakistan in its international conference on Leadership for Systemic Change in emphasized the need for collective leadership to transform Pakistan’s education system. The conference brought together policymakers, experts, and academicians to share ideas and experiences on educational reforms. Khadija Bakhtiar, Founder and CEO of Teach For Pakistan, stressed the importance of equity and collective leadership in ensuring quality education for all. Participants agreed that the current education crisis, with Pakistani children lagging 4-5 years behind their grade level, requires a broad coalition of actors to implement systemic reform. Wendy Kopp, Co-founder and CEO of Teach For All, defined collective leadership as people working at all levels, from diverse backgrounds, towards a shared mission. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Secretary, Federal Education and Professional Training, reaffirmed the government’s commitment to education, emphasizing the need to empower principals, teachers, parents, and communities.
