PESHAWAR: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), under the Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, will organise WEXNET-Peshawar on January 21–22, 2026, at Sheraz Arena, Deans Trade Center, Peshawar.

In this regard, a curtain-raiser ceremony was held at the TDAP Peshawar office, where officials of TDAP, representatives of the Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry, women entrepreneurs, media persons and other stakeholders were briefed on the objectives, scope and importance of the upcoming exhibition.

According to TDAP officials, WEXNET-Peshawar aims to promote women-led enterprises in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by providing a dedicated platform for market access, business networking and trade exposure. Women entrepreneurs from across the country will showcase a diverse range of products, including handicrafts, textiles, fashion items, gemstones, food processing products, olive and olive-based goods, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and e-commerce services.

TDAP officials said the authority continues to implement a comprehensive annual business plan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which includes participation in international and local exhibitions, export-oriented seminars, e-commerce capacity-building initiatives and the National Exporters Training Programme (NETP), with the goal of expanding the province’s export base.

They noted that while women entrepreneurs play a crucial role in value addition and job creation, their representation on formal trade platforms remains limited. WEXNET-Peshawar is therefore being seen as a key initiative to integrate women entrepreneurs into domestic and international markets and to support inclusive economic growth.

The exhibition is expected to attract a wide range of stakeholders, including buyers, exporters, trade professionals and members of the general public, providing new opportunities for business linkages and market expansion.
