Taxila Court Rejects Post-Arrest Bail Plea

TAXILA: A local court in Taxila has dismissed the post-arrest bail application of an accused facing charges related to the alleged sexual abuse of a minor, according to court proceedings.

Additional Sessions Judge Taxila, Mirza Muhammad Azam, rejected the bail plea of Qari Ghulam Rabbani after hearing arguments from both sides.

Case Registered Under PPC Section 377B

According to police records, FIR No. 590/26, dated May 30, 2026, was registered at Taxila Police Station under Section 377B of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) on the complaint of the minor victim’s uncle.

Police arrested the accused following the registration of the case and later shifted him to Adiala Jail in accordance with legal procedures.

The investigation is being conducted by Sub-Inspector Syed Farhat Hussain Shah.

Court Hears Arguments on Bail Plea

During the hearing, advocates Ghulam Farooq and Mukhtar Hussain Bhatti appeared on behalf of the complainant and opposed the post-arrest bail application.

After hearing the arguments presented by both parties, the court dismissed the bail request and directed that the accused remain in judicial custody while the investigation and subsequent legal proceedings continue.

Investigation Continues

Police officials said the investigation into the case is ongoing and further proceedings will be conducted in accordance with the law.

The accused remains in custody pending the outcome of the investigation and trial.

The allegations mentioned in the FIR remain subject to investigation and judicial determination. The accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law
