Dhudial (Riaz Butt) — Commissioner Rawalpindi Division, Engineer Amir Khattak, visited Talagang and chaired a high-level meeting at the Assistant Commissioner’s office. Deputy Commissioner Sarah Hayat and heads of key government departments joined the session, which focused on administrative performance and Talagang development projects.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Sarah Hayat briefed participants on the district’s revenue administration and shared updates on governance. In response, Commissioner Khattak urged officials to uphold high standards and deliver efficient services across all departments. He emphasized the importance of professional excellence in achieving the government’s goals.
Furthermore, officials presented a detailed update on ongoing Talagang development projects. Commissioner Khattak instructed them to complete all schemes swiftly and with top-tier quality. He stressed that timely execution ensures uninterrupted public access to essential facilities.
Among those present were Additional Commissioner Majid Ali, Director Health, ADC(R) Muhammad Shahab Aslam, Assistant Commissioner Talagang Rana Shabbir Ahmed, and Assistant Commissioner Lawa Saeed Ahmed. Officers from other departments also participated.
In addition, Commissioner Khattak reiterated the district administration’s responsibility to utilize government resources effectively. He emphasized that the success of Talagang development projects depends on timely delivery and strict adherence to quality benchmarks. These efforts, he added, directly impact the public’s quality of life.
After the meeting, Commissioner Khattak and Deputy Commissioner Hayat inspected various sections of the DC office. They also visited the Model Vendor Market in Talagang city. Speaking to the media, the commissioner praised the market for offering affordable, quality goods to citizens. Moreover, he announced upcoming upgrades, including shaded seating, lighting, and washroom facilities. These additions aim to improve pedestrian access and eliminate street encroachments.
Meanwhile, under the “Clean Punjab” initiative, the administration has extended cleanliness services to rural areas. Teams have already removed long-standing garbage dumps from urban zones. Additionally, Commissioner Khattak inspected the Trauma Center and reviewed healthcare services. He visited the record room and issued directives for its improvement.
