Islamabad: Tajikistan’s Energy Minister Daler Jumma called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House on Friday and discussed issues of interest.
Regional communication projects such as CASA-1000 were discussed in the meeting.
Both sides agreed to further develop cooperation in the field of communication, especially land communication, energy, education and agriculture.
Daler Jumma visited Pakistan to attend the Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Commission.
The Prime Minister welcomed Daler Jumma to Pakistan and said that he was happy with the progress made in bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various sectors during the period of the Joint Commission.
Recalling his visit to Tajikistan and his meetings with Tajik President Emomali Rahmon in Riyadh and Baku, the Prime Minister expressed his hopes for the Tajik President and wished President Rahmon to visit Pakistan soon.
During his visit, he expressed his satisfaction with the MoU and agreement and said that the timely implementation of this agreement will further strengthen bilateral relations.
The Tajik minister thanked the prime minister for his welcome and hospitality and stressed the importance of developing relations and cooperation between the two countries.
