SWAT – Amid the devastation of recent floods, a woman from Swat’s Panr area, Rukhsana Jahangir, has emerged as a source of relief and hope for affected families.

After losing her young son several years ago, she set up the Aadil Memorial Welfare Foundation in his memory. The foundation has since provided financial aid, food, and household items to over 300 flood-hit families, with support efforts still continuing.

Girls trained at her welfare center are also assisting in the relief work, highlighting local solidarity in the face of crisis.

Rukhsana Jahangir stressed that victims urgently need functional household items rather than old or unusable clothing. She appealed to philanthropists and well-wishers to extend practical help so families can rebuild their lives.

She said while the pain of losing her son remains, it has strengthened her resolve to dedicate her life to serving others.
