SWAT: Ending violence against women/ Girls ( EVAW/G) an organization working in Bajaur with the collaboration of Aurat Foundation to prevent violence against women and girls a representative delegation met District Police Officer Swat Badshah Hazrat Khan at his office in GulKada of Swat District.
Aurat Foundation Peshawar chapter chairperson Saima Munir, EVAW/G Swat chapter Focal Person Samreen Hakeem Advocate and Focal Person of Bajaur District Samiullah were also present.
DPO Swat Badshah Hazrat Khan said that women are playing their role in beautifying the society as a sister, wife and mother and in this regard spreading awareness among them by various social organizations is a welcome initiative. He said that the police fulfills all the legal requirements regarding the prevention of violence against women and in this regard full cooperation is also given to social organizations.
He futher said that when the police receives reports of suicide of women, these incidents are investigated on latest scientific basis and whenever evidence of honor killing is found, legal action is taken.
Badshah said that social organizations should play their role keeping in mind the social values.
