Bollywood actor Sunny Deol has recalled the warmth he received from Pakistani people during his visit to the Kartarpur Corridor, saying that people on both sides of the border share affection despite political tensions between the two countries.
In a recent interview, Deol said he had visited Pakistan only once, during the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor. He recalled receiving a warm response not only from ordinary Pakistanis but also from security personnel during the visit.

According to Deol, some security officials told him they loved him but asked him not to make films that portrayed Pakistan negatively.
The actor said he responded by acknowledging that people naturally love their own country. He added that mutual respect should lead to mutual affection, while conflict between the two sides would be met with a response.
Deol also said that people generally defend their country during wartime, but outside such circumstances, there is no inherent hostility between ordinary people in India and Pakistan.
His comments have attracted attention as the actor promotes his latest period film, “Batwara (1947)”, which is set against the backdrop of the 1947 Partition of the Indian subcontinent.
