Assistant Commissioner Havelian Sumaira Masood chaired an important meeting regarding the arrangements for Muharram. An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Assistant Commissioner Havelian Ms. Sumaira Masood regarding the arrangements for law and order, security, cleanliness and other arrangements for Muharram, in which officers of all relevant departments, Police, WAPDA, Health TMA, Rescue 1122, Civil Defense and members of the Peace Committee attended.
The meeting reviewed the lighting, cleanliness, water supply, exemption from load shedding and security plan for the routes of gatherings and processions during the Ashra Muharram. On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Sumaira Masood issued instructions that all departments should ensure the best arrangements during Muharram through mutual communication and cooperation. She said that obstacles should be removed on the designated routes of the processions, installation of CCTV cameras and presence of security personnel should be ensured so that any untoward incident could be avoided.
He also appealed to the public to cooperate with the administration for the establishment of communal harmony, religious tolerance and peace. All the departments present in the meeting informed the Assistant Commissioner about their preparations and assured full cooperation.
