SUJAWAL: After a hiatus of five years, Sujawal witnessed a revival of stage drama with the performance of “Bara Par” at Shayan Lawn on Tuesday night. The play was organized in collaboration with the Sindh Culture Department and the District Administration Sujawal, marking a significant cultural moment for the region.

Written by Yaqoob Klahoro and directed by Nadeem Khatti, the story follows a newly married fisherman who ventures into the sea to repay family debts just days after his wedding. The boat capsizes, and he goes missing, presumed dead. The emotional narrative kept audiences engaged until the final scene.

Prominent Sindhi actors, including Nasreen Naz, Urs Narejo, Urs Umrani, Nazeer Lohar, and Gulan Mastana, delivered strong performances that added depth to the production.

Deputy Commissioner Sujawal Zahid Rind, along with Iqbal Memon, Zubair Jaffrani, and other guests, attended the opening ceremony. Officials emphasized the importance of staging more dramas in remote areas to provide entertainment, promote cultural awareness, and encourage local talent.
