First introduced in 2013 by the Hungarian Government, the Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship is coordinated by the Tempus Public Foundation (TPF) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. Study Options Under the Scholarship

Eligibility Requirements for Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship

Applicants must meet specific criteria to be eligible for Stipendium Hungaricum 2026–27 intake:

Must hold citizenship from a partner country (Pakistan is included).
Must be at least 18 years old by 31 August 2026.
Must possess the relevant educational qualifications:
- High school diploma for Bachelor’s programs.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree for postgraduate programs.
Must demonstrate English language proficiency through an internationally recognized test (IELTS, TOEFL, or equivalent).
Must apply through their national Sending Partner, not directly to universities.
Must not hold Hungarian citizenship or dual nationality.
Self-financed students already studying in Hungary may reapply only upon recommendation by their host institution and with strong academic performance.

Financial Coverage

Full Tuition Fee Waiver: 100% tuition exemption for the duration of the program.

Complete the Form: Provide personal details, educational background, and upload all required documents. Ensure every field marked with a red asterisk (*) is filled.
Submit to Sending Partner: Send your application online and to your country’s Sending Partner before their local deadline (which may vary by country).
Nomination and Selection: Sending Partners will review and nominate candidates for evaluation by TPF and participating universities.
Medical Examination and Final Acceptance: Nominated candidates must undergo a medical check-up (after 1 November 2025) and await their official Letter of Admission from the host university.
